Is Your Skin Feeling Icky?

When your skin starts feeling greasy, and your make-up starts fading by 10 a.m., you know it’s time to make the transition from winter to spring skincare.

To transform your skin from icky to fabulous, you’ll need to lighten up your routine. Old Man Winter created dull, scaly skin. That meant a heavier exfoliant to get back that radiant spring look.

Now it’s time to use a gentle exfoliant two-three times a week. This will reduce oil and stimulate cell turnover.

Next up is your hydrolipidic barrier, which is a technical way of saying that your skin has a film on the surface that protects against moisture loss. The hydrolipidic barrier also keeps foreign substances from harming your skin.

In the winter, this barrier is weaker than it is in the spring. Water loss is significantly more in colder weather. When warmer weather arrives, water levels go up. That’s why your skin starts to feel icky.

To balance the moisture level, go for a lighter moisturizer. With oily or combination skin, oil-free is ideal.

Always, always, always layer on the SPF. Fortunately, our products already have an SPF in the moisturizer.

That saves you money and time!
